The lost meaning of Life

Are we really living a life? Was this the purpose of life? Are we here for this? Are we happy with the life we are living?

A lot more such questions strike my mind and in my opinion, the answer to these questions is a big ‘NO’. We are not supposed to do work all the time. Tensions related to work should be left to the workplace only. We are supposed to be happy with a serene mind but what we are doing that is a whole new story.

Kids are burdened with books and pressure to get good grades. Adults are overloaded with the performance at job, maintaining personal life, social ties, household chores, always surrounded with thoughts of future and grades of kids and what not. The life we are living is like vegetables being cooked at high pressure in a pressure cooker. Perhaps, this was never the objective life.

Come on! It’s life. We are not here to run a race. Live your life the way you want to. If you want to travel then travel. If you want to go on a holiday with family, just go. If you want to booze, go do it right now. If you want to dance in the rain, dance. If you want to go for a long drive, go. If you want to spend time with your friends, just go to them because they are waiting for this too.

Who is stopping you from doing what you want to do, from living the life you want to live. You are not a prisoner of your work, surroundings, worries or tensions. I’m not saying you shouldn’t work or you should stop working. Work is a part of life not life itself. If work is your passion, keep it but at least don’t let your dreams die waiting for your attention. You are here to make yourself happy at first and then only you will be able to make others happy. Neither money nor material possessions matter but happiness is all that matters.

Live life to the fullest. And in this way life will gift you countless memories, bundles of joy, peace of mind and numerous people who love you.

Greetings to you for a change!
Keep Smiling

  1. I feel exactly the same way. The purpose of life is to live in a way that makes you most happiest and that allows you to reach your full potential. What’s amazing is that everything we’ve ever wanted or desired exist right here right now. We just have to go and get them. If they don’t exist then you have the power to create it. We are in control of our own happiness.

Lovely post. Nice to meet you. 🙂

  2. A society without money would be nice. I would be content to see at least a few of those places. If the planet and people are still around in 100 years, who knows what will be possible then.

  3. Even in my final year of graduation i had no clue of what I wanted to do. I ended up taking a gap year, working as an intern at a few places, travelling often, meeting new people. Eventually I realized that most of us had been running around without actually asking ourselves, “Where do we want to see ourselves when we turn 50?” Once I had a sort-of idea of what lifestyle i want at that age (which is definitely not working at MNC’s, or in an office slogging 9am to 5pm) things started to clear out slowly.
    Your blog makes total sense.
